Project Summary
This project was aimed at enabling the CAS could deliver its national accounts, trade and social statistics using international nomenclature and collection methodologies, as well as studying the feasibility of the creation of a business register. The Statistics Partnership provided statistical expertise in several fields, including national accounts, foreign trade and business registers, to work with CAS staff in delivering this project.

Project Summary
The Statistics Partnership analysed data from the HDR and other sources to produce a report on the key developments in the Arab world in the past 20 years, at both country and regional level. TSP provided experts in social statistics and data analysis to work closely with UNDP staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to the analysis.

Evaluation of General Data Dissemination System, Anglophone Africa Project – Phase II Department for International Development (DfID), UK Kenya, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, The Gambia, Uganda, Zambia 20 February to 31 October 2009
Project Summary
The Statistics Partnership conducted a participatory evaluation of the IMF / WB support programme that was helping to implement the General Data Dissemination System (GDDS) in 22 Anglophone African countries on behalf of DFID who had provided substantial funding for the programme. TSP consultants reviewed the programme, interviewed HQ and country based staff of DFID, the IMF and the World Bank and statisticians & data users at country level.

The objective of this project was to strengthen the technical capacity of the National Statistical Service of the Ukraine in selected areas agreed upon by the EC DG Eurostat and the National Statistical Office of the Ukraine. Our consortium provided a high level of technical expertise and management support in order to provide statistics users with accurate, reliable and timely data, compiled according to EU and international standards and methods.

Project Summary
The overall objective of this project was to assist the National Statistical Offices of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia in developing official statistical systems able to provide data meeting EU and international standards. The project strengthened the technical capacities of the National Statistical Offices in selected areas, making them able to provide the users with accurate, reliable and timely data compiled according to international standards and methods.

Project Summary
The Statistics Partnership Limited (TSP) provided a team of 7 statistics experts to advise and assist the Dubai Government in the establishment and development of a new Dubai Statistics Centre to be the central coordinating agency for official statistics in Dubai. The new centre will provide the Dubai Government with the economic and social statistics that are fundamental to decision making in government that have not been available from other departments.

Project Summary
The Statistics Partnership Ltd (TSP) provided expert statistical advice and assistance to the Qatar government on their data warehouse project (Qatar Information eXchange - QIX) since 2007. The QIX project aims to provide data users with on-line access to information about Qatar in a national database, carefully tailored to the needs of various different users.

Regulating the impact of information collection on the UK National Health Service (NHS) and Social Care UK NHS UK 4 June to 31 October 2007
Project Summary
The purpose of this project was to commission work that would help the NHS address governance and scope issues on the regulation of data collection from the health and social care system. As part of this the intent was to research similar regulatory processes as potential models for application to health and social care, set out principles underlying the regulation of data collection, seek views on whether these are appropriate, and what might be alternatives and seek views on how The Information Centre for Health and Social Care (IC) and others might contribute to ensuring that these principles are followed throughout the health and social care system.

Developing guidelines for a Data Audit exercise for the Report on the Status of Pastoralism (ROSP) Oxfam, UK East Africa 1 August to 31 October 2007
Project Summary
The project was in support of work that Oxfam GB intended to carry out to draw attentions to the social and economic problems faced by Pastoralists in East Africa. Little statistical information directly related to pastoralists is publically available and the aim of the project was to develop and set out guidance that non-statistical Oxfam staff in country could use to carry out a data audit of relevant information from a range of possible sources.

Project Summary
The purpose of the mission of the high-level team of statistical experts was to draw up an action plan to establish a Government of Dubai Statistics Centre. The action plan had to take account of all of the components needed in such a plan including the institutional structure, staffing, legislation and priorities for statistical data collection and dissemination.

Report on the Statistical Analysis Needs of the Macro/Fiscal Analysis Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia. Department for International Development (DfID), UK Serbia 1 June 2003 to 28 February 2004
Project Summary
The Macro/Fiscal Analysis Department of the Ministry of Finance (MFAD) faced difficulties in formulating and analyzing economic policy because of gaps and discrepancies in the currently available statistics. The project dealt with the problem on two levels: one short term and the other long term. In the short term, means had to be found to improve the supply of essential statistics without deflecting the Serbian Republic Statistics Office from its work in providing a statistical service to all of its clients. For the longer term, the Statistical Office already had the benefit of a ‘Master Plan’ that had been formulated in collaboration with some EU experts. The Plan will take several years to implement, but this project enabled the statistical office to obtain the support of MFAD in developing their services in line with the Plan.

Project Summary
A review of the capacity of the Georgian government to provide data (on income and employment etc.) that is needed to decide and to monitor their anti-poverty policies. The project also involved advising in some detail on the reporting of the statistics in a form that would best serve government decision makers and others, and in monitoring progress on implementation.
